Entrepreneurs relying on alternative business funding frequently navigate a fragmented landscape characterized by siloed lender networks, manual underwriting routines, and disjointed communication pathways. To address these systemic friction points, Ali Jozani established JZNI Holdings LLC and launched The Funded Method, an AI-driven educational initiative built for newcomers to the sector.
The program integrates core underwriting education with tech-enabled tools designed to optimize client intake, lender matchmaking, submission processing, and pipeline follow-ups.
From Pre-Med Paths to Funder Operations
Jozani’s entry into finance marked a departure from his early life trajectory. Born in Iran and relocating to the United States as a ten-year-old, he followed conventional familial expectations toward a medical career by taking pre-med courses. However, two consecutive business attempts altered his direction.
His initial venture, an Amazon FBA enterprise, resulted in failure. He subsequently achieved strong returns in digital asset trading before sustaining heavy losses on those positions. These experiences provided a vital lesson: while speculation can produce brief windups, lasting enterprises depend on rigid, reliable operating structures.
Jozani subsequently spent over half a decade directing operations at a seven-figure alternative funding brokerage. In that role, he managed approximately 95% of the firm’s total deal volume, onboarded and coached over 200 remote sales professionals, structured the internal underwriting department, and established direct relationships with more than 200 individual funders.
This hands-on tenure gave him direct exposure to diverse financial instruments, including merchant cash advances, business lines of credit, Small Business Administration (SBA) loans, home equity lines of credit (HELOCs), and zero-percent credit card stacking. More importantly, he learned that understanding financial products is insufficient; brokers must also identify which lenders fit specific business profiles, comprehend risk assessment strategies, and maintain smooth document movement through the pipeline.
“There are more than 200 lenders in this market,” Jozani noted. “Most new brokers know ten of them, and they wonder why their approval rate is low.”
Closing the Industry’s Automation Deficit
This frontline background served as the catalyst for The Funded Method. According to Jozani, alternative business funding remains one of the final domains in modern finance where day-to-day tasks are handled manually. Brokers routinely inspect bank statements by eye, dispatch applications to lenders individually, and lose viable deals simply because a required file slipped through the cracks.
“This industry is one of the last places in finance where a person still reads a bank statement by hand,” Jozani stated. “That is not tradition, that is a gap.”
The company was formulated to close that operational deficit without removing human critical thinking from the equation. The core offering is a 12-week program combining baseline underwriting concepts with an AI-enabled operational framework. Participants learn how to evaluate a business, interpret funder criteria, manage intake steps, process submissions, foster lender relationships, and automate subsequent follow-ups.
The curriculum follows a strict sequence. Jozani insists that brokers must understand the underlying mechanics of financial decisions before deploying artificial intelligence tools.

“AI should do the underwriting math. The broker still has to understand the decision,” he explained. “Skip that order and you have built a very fast way to be wrong.”
Ultimately, the structure is designed to guide new brokers toward achieving their first funded transaction within roughly 90 days, eliminating months of trial-and-error.
Process Outweighs Aggressive Sales
Jozani also emphasizes that long-term success in the funding brokerage space relies on repeatable processes rather than high-pressure sales tactics. “Every broker fails the same way,” he remarked. “Not from a lack of hustle, from a lack of process. The deal dies in the follow-up, not the pitch.”
Alongside the primary cohort program, The Funded Method supplies self-paced learning assets and distributes educational guides, such as The 2026 Broker Stack, an annual reference detailing the software, capital products, lenders, and systems shaping the modern market.
As technology continues to transform the financial services sector, Jozani’s model offers a practical template for integration: automate repetitive administrative duties, preserve human oversight, and train professionals deeply enough to recognize potential flaws in automated outputs.
Through The Funded Method, Jozani seeks to create a clear entry path into an industry that has historically depended on informal networks, expensive errors, and years of grueling operational exposure.
