Read Time:44 Second

Young Scouts and military personnel were drenched as they marched in front of the royal couple who were also enduring the unpleasant weather.

King Charles and Queen Camilla braved the rain as they watched a parade during in their first visit to Jersey since the King’s coronation.

Despite the weather, the royal couple looked in good spirits and giggled as they watched a seagull seeming to lead marching military personnel in the parade.

Cheering crowds and a 21-gun salute had greeted the King and Queen earlier before they did a number of walkabouts to meet the islanders and a special sitting of the States and Royal Court.

The parade marked the end of His Majesty’s official duties on the island and featured local military groups, scouts and guides and emergency services.

The King and Queen are staying on the island overnight before heading to Guernsey.
