U.S. stocks opened with sharp gains Tuesday, as investors returned from a three-day weekend honoring the Juneteenth holiday and after the S&P 500 had its worst week since March 2020. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up around 1.5%, while the S&P 500 was trading 1.6% higher and the Nasdaq Composite was rising 1.7%, according to FactSet data, at last check.
