Read Time:42 Second

While the Dow Jones Industrial Average has bounced into positive territory, market internals suggest the broader stock market is still falling. The number of declining stocks outnumbered advancers 1,800 to 1,136 on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and 2,342 to 1,438 on the Nasdaq. And volume in declining stocks represented 51.2% of total volume on the NYSE and 57.2% of total volume on the Nasdaq. Meanwhile, the Dow rose 82 points, or 3%, with 18 of 30 components gaining ground, after being down as much as 550 points earlier. The S&P 500 was still down 0.1% and the Nasdaq Composite was losing 0.6%.
