Read Time:45 Second

President Joe Biden on Friday celebrated the prior day’s court rulings that favored his plan to forgive a big tranche of student loans, along with the number of people who have applied for relief. “They’ve been fighting us in the courts, but just yesterday, a state court and the Supreme Court said, ‘No, we’re on Biden’s side,'” the president said in a speech at Delaware State University. The application that borrowers can use to apply for student-debt relief went live this week, and Biden said nearly 22 million people have signed up for cancellation. Biden also criticized Republicans who have said the relief is for slackers or only helps the elite few. “Who in the hell do they think they are?” he said.
