Dow opens nearly 250 points lower as investors await Wednesday Fed decision

U.S. stocks opened lower on Monday, on track for a third day of declines, as investors await a decision from the Federal Reserve, which is expected to deliver another jumbo interest-rate hike on Wednesday. The S&P 500 is down 31 points, or 0.8%, to 3,841. The Dow Jones Industrial Average retreated 230 points, or 0.7%, to 30,605. The Nasdaq Composite declined 79 points, or 0.7%, to 11,373.
