Capri names Alexander McQueen vet as CEO of Versace

Capri Holdings Ltd. announced Monday that Emmanuel Gintzburger has been named chief executive of the Versace luxury label, effective September 12, 2022. Gintzburger joins from Alexander McQueen where he has been CEO since May 2016. Alexander McQueen is part of the Kering portfolio. Kering announced Monday that Gianfilippo Testa has been named CEO of Alexander McQueen, effective May 2022. Testa joined Kering in 2016 and has held executive roles at Gucci since. Capri’s lineup also includes Michael Kors and Jimmy Choo. Capri stock has edged up 0.3% over the past year. Kering stock is up 0.9%. And the benchmark S&P 500 index has gained 14.5% for the past 12 months.
